Thunder Valley- Casino(5/7)

Today is Carlos' 21th birthday. He invited me to go with him to the casino near Reno, a city to the east of Sacramento. Turning 21 in the U.S., is a big thing. Not only is it the legal drinking age, but it marks the beginning of the official adulthood. Given this, his mom decided to take him to Tundervalley casino, where he could drink for the first time in his life and enjoy a bit of gambling and food. For me, it was going to be my first time to gamble in a casino, so I was sorta looking forward to this.

But I was sorry that I forgot to take my passport along with me, and accordingly they had to drive me back to my place so that I can drink with them. Or I might feel being left out. Yet, this kinda delayed their schedule, as it took around 20 minute to get to my place. So, we actually reached Thundervalley at a  little  over 1 o'clock, and we were all starving. And this turned out be a good thing as we could eat more at the all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant. It had nteresting cuisines from around the world, with savory meat, freshly made cakes and pastries, dim sum, a diversity of fresh fruit, etc. I literally ate to my heart's content and maybe more than I could have. Here is the picture of this sumptuous buffet.

After lunch, we set out to play games, mostly slot ones, as none of us knew how to play the poker, blackjack. We all started with  small bets as we wagered. The end result was just what I expected. I lost ten bucks and once again this proved the fact that I have no wealth or windfall luck. It was another thing for Carlos though. He won some 15 bucks possibly because he had birthday luck. Hide, however, wasn't so lucky, and he lost about 20 bucks. But, the importan thing was we all had a tons of fun.

Much later, we went to the bar, and Carlos bought me a drink and Hide as well. Taking Hide's advice, I got Vodka tonic, which had almost equal proportions of both, which meant it wasn't too strong for me and I did enjoy sipping it.  A little while later, Carlo's uncle treated us to drinks, so we drank for the second time in a day. This time, I got rum coke again on Hide's recommendation, and it tasted not so much of alcohol as soda. Therefore, it was much to my liking. LOL

Thus with this, we went back to Davis, and Carlos was feeling tipsy.................
